Hi friends, It’s been more than a week now and I still can’t figure out how to crack a set of math problems on solving equations with rational numbers . I have to submit this work by the end of next week. Can someone help me to get started? I need some help with equation properties and logarithms. Any sort of guidance will be appreciated.

You seem to be more freaked out than confused. First you need to control your self. Do not panic. Sit back, relax and look at the books with an open mind.
