I am going to college now. As math has always been my weakness, I purchased the course books in advance. I am plan studying a couple of topics before the classes start. Any kind of pointers would be much appreciated that could assist me to start studying quadratic formula discriminant myself.

This is not exactly a tutoring software but it offers solutions to math problems in a very descriptive manner. And the best thing about this software product is that it is very user friendly. Algebrator is a great product and is definitely worth a try. You will also find lot of exciting stuff there. I use it as reference software for my math problems and can swear that it has made learning math much more fun .
