how to solve non linear equations in matlab

Heya guys! Is someone here familiar with how to solve non linear equations in matlab? I have this set of problems regarding it that I just can’t understand. We were assigned to answer it and understand how we came up with the answer . Our Math teacher will select random people to solve it as well as show solutions to class so I need thorough explanation regarding how to solve non linear equations in matlab. I tried answering some of the questions but I guess I got it completely incorrect. Please help me because it’s a bit urgent and the due date is near already and I haven’t yet understood how to solve this.
